Medical Cannabis

The active ingredients in cannabis seeds seem turn back brain aging. It also helps prevent Alzheimer's disease and other brain disorders. Researchers really come to appreciate the power of the cannabinoid in the system of the brain. Synthetic materials that resemble THC, a psychoactive substance in cannabis, are animals capable to maintain their brain. A 2008 study showed that a substance based on THC could reduce infection in the brains of older rats, also the memory of the animals improved.

Neuron stimulating factor
New research in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B suggests that the brain cleans by activation the cannabinoid system, whereby antioxidants remove damaged cells and increase the efficiency of the mitochondria. Previous studies found an association between cannabinoids and the formation of nerve cell stimulating factor (BDNF), a neurotrophin which plays an important role in protecting neurons and the creation of new ones.

Neurodegenerative disorders
The activation of cannabinoid receptor scan reduce the infection of the brains in different ways. Andras Bilkei-Gorzo of the University of Bonn says that the activity of the cannabinoid system protects neurons, brain aging can counteract and soften symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases.

By the activity of the cannabinoid system the cognitive functions of mice will be maintained, says professor of neurobiology, anatomy and biological chemistry Daniele Piomellie of the University of California at Irvine.

It will probably take some time before a study is being done on cannabis users to see if they sooner or later develop Alzheimer's than those who do not use cannabis (marijuana seeds). The subject is too controversial to arrange financing from the government.
